Does anyone know how to copy an image from the internet and also copy image properties from an internet image using a macbook? My school imac lets me right click like a pc, but the new lapbook has me at a loss. I've searched online and came up with nothing. TIA

From my journal: Hidden Veggies

I made my own "hidden beet" oatmeal raisin cookies this afternoon. It was a nice way to pass some rainy time. I'm achey and a bit sick, so it was a good amount of time on my feet and then recumbent while eating cookies. Oh the things I do to get vegetables in my child. As it turns out, once you puree veggies, you really don't need to follow a special recipe... just find one that can stand some tweaking. :) Finn is eating one right now.

Hello Dawn!!!

So that 3.35hr nap yesterday afternoon was not growth spurt then....seeing as Taran's been up since 5am.  Well, it's not really his fault as he pooped and while I was changing him, I noticed he also was soaking wet on his PJs and arm swaddle thing (more about that later), so not sure if he peed while I was changing him or what happened there.....so an outfit change let, we're back in bed and I'm trying to nurse him back to sleep and of course, he poops again.  Yeah, by second diaper change, there was NO getting him back to sleep.  He is now in his swing sleeping as I gave up and brought him downstairs.

For the previous few nights after I had worked out finally how to nurse lying down, Taran has not been staying asleep when I was trying to transfer him back from the bed to the pack n play (I am not comfortable co-sleeping in our bed which has a memory foam topper....and it's just not someplace I want to go).  After watching what was going on with him and seeing his arms constantly swiping at his face, I wondered if swaddling his arms would help.  He hasn't been swaddled since he was about 2 weeks old.  I found the swaddle attachment to the sleepsack we got as a gift from the hospital and I put it on him on Friday night.  I also put him into bed at 8pm instead of bringing him downstairs to nurse and letting him sleep in the swing until we went upstairs.  He slept like a dream till almost 3am.  The swaddle was working.

I tried it again at naptime yesterday, and it worked great (see 3.75 hour nap above).  Last night, it was OK but he was up at 11:30pm to nurse, back down till 3am, then 5am the shenanigans began.

I should probably be sleeping, though I know Logan will be downstairs soon.  Talking of him, he turned three this past Tuesday.  Hard to believe my baby is 3 years old!  We had a good weekend of parties (Satuday was the kids party, Sunday was family and our close friends who could make it) and the on his actual birthday, we had dinner at Bugaboo Creek (his fav restaurant of the moment).  This was also the evening we dropped my Mum at a hotel at Logan Airport and thus ended her 3 month visit.

Tomorrow, I return to work.  Thurs and Fri I put Taran into school for half-days.  He did well and I did better than I thought, keeping myself busy with chores in the house (couldn't really go anywhere as I had to pump).  My maternity leave flew in again and I am less excited to return to work this time.  With Logan, I needed the break as he was so high maintenance. Taran is so laid back, and it could also be that I know what I am doing a bit more this time around.....leaving my little smiler will be tough tomorrow.

Oh well - off to start the rest of the family's day now....here's my big boy at the weekend enjoying cake.....

Bit of a scare last night....

OMG, my heart just about stopped last night at 2:30 am.....

I woke up for some reason and got up to check on Nathan.  His door was open and he was not in bed.  So looked back in our room and he was not in our bed.  So I went out to the livinging room and he was not out there.  My heart began to race.  I check his room again and min, no Nathan.....  I checked everywhere....  All the doors were locked and windows closed there was no way he could of gotten out.  I even checked the garage., still no Nathan.  I checked Aiden's room, nope.  At this point I was starting to panic and woke up Marty, told I could not find Nathan anywhere.  I went back out to the living room to look again then I heard this whining.  I ran back to my room and Marty was point ot he floor on his side.  I looked and still could not see him.  He was laying under the bed.  Why I don't know.  I asked him to come out and he was kinda whinning.  He said he wanted dad to lay with him.  He never really answer me why he was under the bed.  But dad went to lay with him.  He was up for the next two hours.  Pretty weird....
I feeling I do not want to expereince again.

I just found the ENTIRE set of bedding I ordered last week on ebay for $350, $385 w/ shipping.  That's what I paid for about half of the pieces from Macy's and Ralph Lauren.  Should I buy it on ebay and return what I ordered last week??

I'd be getting all the pieces I ordered already, plus three coordinating throw pillows, an entire set of fancy sheets and pillowcases, and four extra shams!!  That's pretty amazing, isn't it?  The seller has a 99.3% positive rating.

WWYD??

Lots going on....

Bad news first....

So if you have not heard, Countrywide Home Loans had a HUGE britch in their security system.   An employee was selling personal information to an outside third party.  And mine happen to be one of them.  What a pain in the ASS this has been.  And all they had to say was SORRY.  So I've been dealing with that.  So far I've had a couple things that looked odd and they are being investigated.  But I have to open all new bank accounts because they had all that info.  I had to contact the FBI, they are on this too.  Needless to say I've been on the phone alot.  It just sucks.

Going on with life....

Nathan starts a new preschool Sept 2nd.  And he is so excited.  We went shopping for a lunch box, because he can bring his lunch or buy one.  Of course it is Spiderman.  Everyday he asked if he gets to go yet.  We took a tour and he did not want to come home.  So I think he will be ok.
I also had to check out daycares for Aiden.  They were all full, which sucks.  The one I really want is down the street from my house and it would be perfect.  But she is full and has a waiting list.  I put him on it.  The other one is not so bad, I like it because she is small, she only has 4 kids.  And he would be the youngest.  And he did great with the other kids, he seems to be very comfortable.  So we go with that one for now.

The boys are getting so big.

Nathan is 3 1/2 yrs old, 38" H, 35 lbs.  Talking like a big boy, the things he comes up with are hillarious.
Aiden is 1 1/2 yrs old,  ?? H, 27.5 lbs.  Starting to communicate better, he is trying everything his brothers his.  He even climb up on his bike.  More about that to come.

They love to swim and the beach.  Nathan has gotten pretty good with a boogie board.  Swimming he wil go underwater and swim around with his floaties, he is almost ready to take them off and try.  Aiden just likes to kick back and watch.
We planted pumkins seeds hoping we get a pumkin for Halloween, it has already started to grow, we have leaves.  Nathan has to water it everyday, even though he forgets alot.

Last friday night we got home early from work and were out side hanging out.  I had a talk with Nathan about taking the training wheels off his bike.  At first he said no, he will fall.  Then he agreed, so I told Marty to take them off and Nathan will get ready for his big ride.  Let me remind you its about 80 degrees.  So he wants to wear his uggs boots, ok....  So I get him all geared up and ready to go.  Of course he gets cold feet.  A few minutes later him and Marty are going down the street.  He never really fell on the ground because we always caught him.  But he did great.  Marty finally gave up after a few trips up and down the street.  I'd say he is alittle out of shape;)  So Nathan cried and wanted his wheels back on.  I told him once they come off they don't go back on they are broken.  It was so funny he was tring to put them back on himself, and did a pretty good job at it.  I just didn't tell him he was missing a piece.  So they fell off again.  After him and I had a talk he was ready to try again.  We went up and down the street a couple of time and he had it.  I let him go and he was off.  Had a hard time with the stopping and going, but he got better each day.  So Nathan is offical riding a two wheel bike.  I am sooooo PROUD of him.  Will post pics later.  Then we had to drive all over town to show everyone.
Aiden was showing in interest in the bike also.  So I pulled the tricycle out and lowered they seat.  And he tried but could not quite make the full petal.  So pushed him around and he loved it.  So we might put some blocks on the petals and see how he does.
Same night, Nathan was showing off at a friends house and ran into the block wall and got a fat lip.  Then 2 seconds later Aiden was running down the drive and fell and split his lip open,  Thank god we did have to go for stitches, but he had a fat lip too.  You would of thought we were beating our kids.

Saturday we had to go to a birthday party at Newport Dunes.  First Grandma stopped by at 8am and visited for a bit.  then off to the party.  It was another hot day.  Nathan took his bike and rode it most of the day.  Which was good, because there were no kids there  his age and the water stunk and he did not enjoy the beach area.  I could not believe how awful it was.  The beach was like mud and it stunk.  The camp ground was nice.  Nathan got alot of attention riding his bike and he was soaking it up.  He had fun
That night we took Nathan to go see the Speedway in Costa Mesa.  And Grandma watch Aiden and Logan, Marty's sister baby he is 3 month younger than Aiden.  Well Marty's mom has never watch my kids, so this was going to be interesting.  I had someone go by and check on her.  She did fine, but Aiden was still awake when we got home at 10:30pm.  Anyways, Nathan loved it and was on his best behavior, I was so proud of him.  I think he liked it so much was because one of the racers was dressed like Spiderman and that was his nickname.  So of course Nathan thought it was the real thing.  He even got to go down and meet him.  He was in seventh heaven.  They had the pee wee races and Nathan told his dad he want to do that and he need dad to buy him a motorcycle so he could.  Dad told him now that he can ride a two wheel bike he could get a motorcycle.  Nathan was soooo excited.
Neither boys went to bed when we got home, they stayed up with dad and watch the Olypmics for awhile.  But I went to bed!!!

Sunday we hung out at Marty's sister for awhile and went to the park.  Then we went home and EVERONE took a 2 hour nap.  Forgot what those are like.  It was nice.  Did some shopping, we are looking for a water fountain.  No such luck.  Grabbed dinner and watched tv.  Both kids were up late again.  But we didn't get home till after 9pm.
So Nathan has been doing funny things with us.  Last night he was not ready to go to bed.  So he told Marty you go to bed and I will come check on you in a bit.  So we were laying there watching tv, and he came in and said I am checking on you are you ok?  Then turned off our tv and told us to go to sleep.  As he proceed to crawl in bed with us.  Asked him what he was doing, and he told me he was going to lay with me till I went to sleep.  Haa, ya right.  Sneaky kid.  Anything to get into mom and dad's bed.

Will be back with more and pics.

Am I crazy?

My coworker just told me he is putting in his resignation next week. He is going to work for a very large, well-established, and secure company. It's actually where my brother worked before he left to go to NY and is hoping to come back to when he returns. Anyways - the reason he told me is that in his new position he will be involved in putting together a team of at least 50 people to design and develop training. He would really like to bring me, Kate (yay!), and another coworker with him and wanted to know if I would be interested. I, of course, told him yes. It's for a 3 year contract working on similar material that I have worked on in the past, with the same software. Plus, I love this guy and would love to continue working with him. We talked about how we wanted to be loyal employees, but after what happened on Monday morale is extremely low (of course.  He also knows that I have been feeling burned lately.

Anyways - if the position is available I'm definitely, 100% going to interview for it. It can't hurt. However, is it nuts that I am even considering this since I am pregnant? The company has good benefits, a flex schedule (from what I know), and is considered to be family friendly. I obviously don't need to tell them anything in the interview about being pregnant (and my coworker doesn't know) - but I wonder what the reaction will be if I get the job and then tell them?

My head is spinning. Should I tell my coworker that I'm pregnant and see what he says? He knows that won't and hasn't stopped me from anything.

I am both excited and terrified about the idea about even looking into a new job -- but when opportunity knocks -- I like to take risks...
