When God was passing out green thumbs, he skipped by my house.

I am suddenly having a longing for a cement "yard", like a nice easily maintable fenced in driveway. lol. This yard is weed central and I have no idea how to control it! I just spent the past hour pulling weeds and it barely made a dent. I had put down fertilizer with "weed control" a month or so ago, but that obviously did nothing.

I am realizing now that when Tim and I were debating "can we afford a house"? The answer was clearlyy NO, since we didn't factor in the dire need for a lawn service and landscaper that we cannot afford!! We suck at this stuff. As it is, Tim does the mowing, but since he has been working 6 days a week and then has Connor on his own from 7-2pm on Sundays, it is never getting done (or not done enough). He did his great "brush removal of 2007", but now we are just left with a big strip of dirt at the end of our yard that we now don't know what to do with.

The kicker is that with all the construction everyone's front lawn got torn up, so after they finished digging they came around a week or so ago and cleaned up and put down loom and then sprayed hydroseed on it. Now, I am not kidding you but EVERY front lawn on this street, with the exception of OURS, is now growing new grass where it was sprayed. WTH?!

;p

Would I know if Connor had a fever? I mean, besides the obvious of taking his temperature? Our stupid ear thermometer just went dead, and we can't get the battery out. We have the one that goes under the arm, but you have to hold it there for 60 second. HA! Like he'll let me do that... I think we made it to 30 seconds...

ANYWHO. His cheeks are SO RED. He's never had a fever before, so I don't know what the indicators are? Would he be lethargic or anything else?

I'm going to go buy a new ear thermometer tomorrow, and find out for sure. I also gave him some tylenol before bed, just in case I guess. He gets those flushed cheeks when he is teething too, but they seem redder than usual.

TIA.

Does anyone use Outlook at home with two email accounts? Tim set it up originally with his comcast account, as I used Yahoo and had email at work. Now that I am using my comcast account for work, I wanted to be able to access it through OUtlook. Has anyone done this successfully? It LOOKS like my email account is over there, but I am not getting messages there...

Anyone?

Okay.. since we are all duly scarred from Little Earthquakes, let's move on! I have my library card rearin' to go. Anyone have any other recommendations? I tend to read a lot *like* the In Her Shoes, Good In Bed, type stuff. I read through almost all of Oprah's Book Club books back in the day... so that's the type of book I can usually sit down and read. You know, when I can physically actually sit down and read. ;-)
